Hard to articulate how much I love Meg's music. Her words really strike a cord with me and her voice is beautiful. The first time I heard her sing "Thank You" I said to myself, I want her to sing that at my wedding some day. At that time, we barely knew each other and I was single. And, years later, it became a reality! Amazing. Just like Meg!

This will be long. I have known Meg since high school - we had a wonderful, special experience at a wonderful special school. We lost touch for many years and got reacquianted a few years ago. She is a natural born performer. She played Jesus in our HS senior play and blew everyone away. I mean she had people crying at every performance it was so powerful. And of course many people balked at a girl playing Jesus.

She is a special, warm, talented beautiful person. I took a train from Boston to NYC last summer for one night to catch her performance and it was totally worth it.

Meg you rock in so many ways.

The beauty of Meg comes out in her music. The voice of an angel and lyrics that touch your soul. She reached out and wraps you in her arms and holds you tenderly. But she also has a way of making you laugh and smile. Meg takes you on a journey that touches every emotion. She is a rare talent and a true artist.

Ahhh Meg! Love her music and sound and I feel that I have grown up alongside her with each and every song. 10 years and counting! Every gig at every venue has pushed different emotional buttons. Her funny warm emotional stage presence reaches from the stage and touches me every time. My favorite music to listen to to when I need to snap out of my own head. Can't wait for the next gig!

My favorite is to catch Meg's music live. It's a tapestry. There are so many marvelous threads woven in. Whether it's a memory from childhood, a celebration or a question of something in a relationship, a timely issue - there's plenty in Meg's music that evokes, stirs, makes you ponder. Meg's voice is gorgeous; her band is super. And I have sometimes laughed so hard I cried. When I'm moved to laughter and tears in a gamut of emotions, I call that artistry.

Everytime I see Meg Flather perform, I'm not only "taken away" by her gorgeous, rich, voice but I've never seen or heard anyone who can communicate a lyric like her. She will break your heart with her honesty and vulnerability and before you know it, your howling with laughter at her comic brilliance. I always know I'm in for a full emotional experience when I see Meg perform.

Two words come to mind when I think of Meg Flather performing... " Deliciously Human ". Not only is Meg's voice rich and beautiful but her personality comes through in every song. Never have I seen an artist who has the perfect combination of complete focus and incredible fluidity. One moment Meg is speaking and responding with her audience in a completely human, humorous, and spontaneous manner and the next moment she is incredibly focused in the peice she's performing. Meg has an amazing range that shows both strength as well as softness and warmth. With Meg you get the whole package... a wonderful voice to listen to as well as an amazing human personality that invites you to share all the range and colors of the human experience. I have seen Meg perform on many occassions and I will continue to see her perform again and again.

You never lose your magic, my beautiful Meg. You had us all riveted. Your velvet voice, so nuanced, so rich in its coloring of raw pain and profound joy is such a superb instrument for your inimitable lyrics. Thank you for all that you are. You transmute the complexity of living into the radiant stillpoint of your artistry. Love you always.
