Meg Flather Rogers
Meg began her cosmetic career in New York City where she was counter manager, resident trainer and special events captain of all metropolitan accounts for Clinique. She then became resident make-up artist for Yves St. Laurent at Bergdorf Goodman, where she earned a solid reputation with an exclusive clientele. At Barneys NY, she held the highest national sales record for both Stila and Body and Soul cosmetics. Later, as a senior consultant, she improved service and artistry standards at all three Face Stockholm locations in Manhattan. As an expert in her field, Meg has also appeared on the Discovery Channel and has been featured in over fifteen national publications. As a make-up artist her credits include People Magazine, NBC Daytime, CNN, 20/20, The View, several documentary films and numerous private clients.
Meg is also a member of all three acting unions which allows her to sharpen her on-camera skills acting in commercials and corporate training films. She is an award-winning performer and has garnered glowing reviews from top New York City publications. Her five albums are sold through www.amazon.com and iTunes. Meg’s songs have been featured Off- Broadway, in soundtracks for Nobody’s Perfect, (which screened at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival), a Juilliard graduate thesis film and a multi-media project dedicated to mental illness awareness and teen suicide prevention. Meg has performed her original music at the Vermont and Tribeca Film Festivals as well as New York’s historic Webster Hall. Meg recently trademarked the name Home Shopping Diva ®and her one woman show, Home Shopping Diva, was one of Times Square Chronicles Online reviewer Stephen Hanks' Top 10 favorite cabaret shows of 2011. Meg’s background is as diverse as the many hats she likes to wear. Born in the Philippines as the youngest daughter of two Peace Corps Staff Directors, she spent her first five years in Micronesia and Malaysia. She then moved to the suburbs of Massachusetts and eventually settled in New York City where she attended the High School of Music and Art in Harlem. Meg attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, but finished her degree at SUNY. Meg devoted several years to volunteering with AIDS and cancer patients through the Supportive Care Program at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
